Dear Friend of SDBs,
In the long and storied history of Seventh Day Baptists in the United States and Canada, the gospel has been communicated, shared, and lived out in many different ways. There are official mission records, minutes of meetings, reports from denominational leaders, and stories of changed lives and family histories from long ago to the present day that prove the ministry of SDBs bear fruit.
The gospel doesn’t change, but the ministry and methods do. Sending photos and videos by email, using apps like SDB LINK, or posting updates on social media is a far cry from sending a handwritten letter, handing out a tract, or telling stories around a campfire.
The ministry and methods of SDBs have changed over the years (and seeming by the minute in our current culture), and Seventh Day Baptists are adapting to new methods for sharing and spreading the gospel, too. One innovation is the means by which supporters like you are invited to donate. For the first time, the SDB General Conference USA & Canada invites its supporters to donate online on #GivingTuesday, November 29, 2016. Our goal for online donations that day is $3000.
