Registration for Spring 2018 SDBU Classes is Open!!

The SDB School of Ministry is please to announce that registration for the Spring 2018 semester of SDB University is now open for our Pastoral Leadership and Advanced Pastoral Leadership certificate programs.  Online classes begin the week of February 5th, 2018 and will run until May 19th, 2018.  Students who have been admitted to the SDBU program are encouraged to register for classes as soon as possible, as classes have limited enrollment.

The following classes will be offered this spring:

SDBU 211 – Biblical Preaching

SDBU 230 – New Testament Survey

SDBU 260 – Introduction to Evangelism and Apologetics

SDBU 280 – Practical Ministry Skills

SDBU 341 – Seventh Day Baptist History (for Advanced Pastoral Leadership Program–formerly called Summer Institute)

The cost for these classes is $95 for each full-term class, plus the cost of materials. 

Students wishing to apply to the program can find the application here.  There is a $50 application fee due along with the completed application. Individuals with questions about the program or the costs are encouraged to send an inquiry email to the Dean of the School of Ministry, Nick Kersten at nkersten@seventhdaybaptist.org or to call at (608) 752-5055 ext. 1006.  Financial assistance is available in some cases based on need.

Seventh Day Baptist University is an integrated leadership training initiative among SDBs in the USA & Canada for the training of lay leaders and pastors for their work in serving their local churches and their communities.  The program is not currently available for Seventh Day Baptists outside the USA & Canada.  Program requirements also currently dictate that applicants receive endorsement from their local SDB congregation to be admitted to the program.
