Helping Hand Update

Written by Nicholas Kersten

March 2, 2015

Two weeks ago, this blog space included an update on the late arrival of the Helping Hand.  In that blog, we said that we hoped the difficulties surrounding the mailings would be over once the mailing process was started.  It seems that our previous entry was a bit too hopeful.

We have received reports that many local SDB churches have either not received their Helping Hands or have not received their full subscription amount.  In addition, those who have received their full allottments have in some cases reported that their copies were damaged in transit.  We are aware of the difficulties and have contacted our mailing service to try and work through the difficulty.  In the meantime, it seems that it will be necessary for some of our local churches to have additional PDFs of the coming week’s lessons.  In that spirit, we have included the lessons for week 2 and week 3 at the bottom of this blog so that those who have not received their quarterlies can continue to keep up with the printed material.

Once again, we are sorry about this interruption to our subscribers, and we are working to fix the problem.  If you or your church have had difficulties with your Helping Hand subscriptions, we ask you to contact us (email to nkersten@seventhdaybaptist.org or call the SDB Center: (608) 752-5055) and let us know about (1) whether or not you have received your Helping Hands (or how many you have received) and (2) to condition of your quarterlies when they did arrive.

For those of you who haven’t yet received your copies, we ask you to keep your eyes open and let us know when they arrive, and in what condition as we have noted above.

Our commitment is to fix this issue as soon as possible so that these issues do not repeat in future quarters.  We welcome your feedback in this process.
