Pastors Conference Coming Soon

Written by John Pethtel

February 24, 2015

Our biennial Pastors Conference takes place this year from April 21 at 9am until April 24 at 12pm and is hosted by the Boulder SDB Church and pastors from the Mid-Continent Association. The theme for this year’s event is “Pastor as Leader” and will be focusing on the various ways and means that pastors are called by God to shepherd people in their churches. There will be opportunities for fellowship and informal sharing in between class sessions, panels, and forums. We encourage all of our pastors (or those called to be pastors) to spend this time with God and with one another being refreshed, renewed, and recharged for service to our churches.

Our special guest speaker on Wednesday, April 22, is Dr. Gordon MacDonald. Dr. MacDonald is a well known pastor, author, and teacher for over 40 years who has served in a variety of roles including President of InterVarsity Christian Fellowship and Chancellor of Denver Seminary. His books, Who Stole My Church? and Ordering Your Private World, have won awards from Christianity Today and the Evangelical Christian Publishing Association. Dr. MacDonald was also the guest speaker during our Pastors Luncheon during the 2013 General Conference sessions.

Registration is available online through the end of March. If you are a pastor, we encourage you to visit beautiful Colorado for a week that will challenge you yet inspire you in your service to your church and the Kingdom. If you are a church member, we encourage you to find a way to support your pastor in their attendance at this key event for SDB pastors.
