Advent is the time of the Christian calendar in which we look back to the arrival of our God made flesh, in the form of Jesus of Nazareth. It is also a time in which we are inspired by the hope of the prophets looking forward to the coming of the Messiah. 

Today, for those who celebrate Advent, this is a time in which we look forward to the second coming of Christ our King. It is also a time in which we are inspired by the hope of the gospel looking forward to an eternity in God’s Kingdom. 

Whether, you celebrate the Christmas season or not, the doctrine of the incarnation is key to the hope that mankind has for salvation and for eternity.
