We just received word of the passing of Pastor Joe Samuels, early this morning, December 24.

Pastor Joe [pictured middle] was a pioneer in the growth of Jamaican SDBs and made inroads for Jamaican pastors in this Conference (USA and Canada) and beyond. Joe was present at the CoWoCo meetings in Salem, WV in the early 1960s, the forerunner to the SDB World Federation—a group that Pastor Joe served as President. He was on the Board of Directors for the SDB Missionary Society for many years.

Rev. Samuels also served as President for the SDB Conference in 1990, leading the meetings which were held in Lindsborg, Kansas. Joe was pastor in Jamaica, then in Toronto, Canada and Plainfield, New Jersey. More details will follow.

Dr. Joseph Samuels

We regret to inform you of the passing of beloved father, grandfather, husband, and servent of God Dr. Joseph Alphonso Samuels. 

The funeral service will be held at South East Atlanta SDB church on January 5th at 12:00pm.

There will not be a time for open tributes so please send tributes that will be compiled and handed out for booklet to corecampbell@gmail.com. Please keep tributes to 250 words or less.
